Job Overview
As a Testing Intern, you will be part of the Testing team and contribute to the development of a new test model required to ensure robust product designs and perform corresponding mechanical tests. You will also support the planning and execution of the validation of an analytical test method following SHL work instructions. Additionally, you will support the team in ongoing activities and/or in building and maintaining the lab as required.
The duration of this internship is 6 months, we cannot accept applicants who can not finish the full period of the internship. We are looking for someone to join us as soon as possible.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the development and rolling out of a new test model to ensure robust product design
- Support the planning and execution of the validation of an analytical test method
- Perform different tests, analyse test results, including statistical evaluation, and prepare preliminary reports
- Prepare necessary final reports and proper as well as comprehensive documentation
- Help building up a new and operational testing lab (as required)
- Give presentations to different audiences
- Engage in proactive communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or currently Master student in Engineering (or life science: Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field)
- Open-minded, proactive, persistent, results- and execution-oriented, and able to work under pressure in changing environments
- Lab experience as part of the academic curriculum
- Ability to work effectively with other departments in cross-functional projects and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience and ability to writing test plans/protocols/reports and other type of technical documents
- Ability to present results in diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- First experience in engineering and technical problem solving
- Basic knowledge in statistical data analysis with tools such as Minitab (or any other statistical software)
