Job Overview
The Senior Transformation Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of how SHL Medical operates. Responsible for designing efficient, future-proof processes, this role enables innovation and accelerates product development while ensuring transformation initiatives are aligned with strategic objectives. Balancing scope, time, cost, and quality, the Transformation Manager manages resources and risks to achieve business goals and delivers measurable impact.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead and orchestrate cross-functional initiatives and projects within the R&D Excellence program, ensuring alignment with SHL’s transformation strategy and business objectives.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans while balancing scope, time, cost and quality across a regulated, technical environment.
- Collaborate with global teams in R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations and IT to optimize operational excellence and end-to-end processes from idea to production release.
- Manage resources, risks, interdependencies and budgets with transparency and proactive mitigation strategies.
- Define KPIs, track progress and establish governance structures and reporting mechanisms to support data-driven decision-making.
- Serve as a key liaison between project teams, stakeholders, external partners and senior leadership, identifying and removing barriers to agility and creativity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technical organization.
- Mentor and train team members in project and program management methodologies, tools and best practices.
- Build internal capabilities to sustain transformation efforts beyond the program’s lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience and success in large-scale transformation or program management, ideally in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of transformation, agile methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels, promoting transparency and collaboration.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of R&D processes and product development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with medical device industry regulations and quality standards (ISO 13485, FDA).
- Experience in leading within a dynamic and global matrixed organization.
- Project Management Certificate (e.g. PMI, IPMA).
- German skills are a plus.
