Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will have a background in procurement matters, commercial contracts, and day-to-day business operations. This role will support in providing comprehensive legal services to the organization (including the EMEA offices/affiliates).
Main Responsibilities
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of procurement‑related and commercial agreements, including supplier and vendor agreements, manufacturing and supply contracts, framework agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other ancillary documents supporting procurement activities.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal support to Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and other business functions on contractual, commercial, and risk‑related matters, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, internal policies, and business objectives.
• Advise on procurement‑related legal issues, including contract structuring, liability and risk allocation, compliance with internal procurement processes, and coordination with internal stakeholders throughout the sourcing and contracting lifecycle.
• Support in managing general legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, data protection, dispute prevention and resolution, and interaction with external counsel as required.
• Review, interpret, and help implement internal policies and procedures relevant to procurement, contract management, and compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement of legal and contracting processes.
• Conduct legal research and monitor developments in relevant laws and regulations (including contract law, procurement‑related regulations, and compliance topics) to provide timely, accurate, and pragmatic legal advice to the business.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure legal considerations are appropriately integrated into business decisions, procurement strategies, and operational activities.
• Handle additional legal tasks and projects as assigned, including legal matters related to the construction or manufacturing site and other site‑specific operational needs.
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal role (including law firm and in-house), with a focus on procurement matters, commercial contracts, and support of business operations.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating procurement‑related and commercial agreements, including supplier and vendor contracts, service agreements, framework agreements, NDAs, and other ancillary documents.
• Experience providing day‑to‑day legal support to cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g. Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Sales) in a corporate or industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently and operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast paced environment and to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner independently or to collaborate with other.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited law school.
Preferred Requirements
• Experience advising on procurement matters in a regulated, industrial, manufacturing, or construction‑related environment, including support of supplier sourcing and operational projects.
• Familiarity with Swiss law and/or experience working with Swiss or EU‑based legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supporting construction, engineering, or site‑related projects, including review of contracts related to facilities, construction, leasing, or infrastructure.
• Experienced in diverse, cross-cultural working environment with strong interpersonal skills.
• Admission to the bar.
