Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Switzerland. The Legal Counsel supports the Swiss legal function by providing pragmatic legal advice on employment law, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory matters. The role works closely with the Senior Corporate Legal Counsel and business stakeholders to support day to day operations and the establishment and growth of SHL Medical.
Main Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (procurement, services, NDAs, partnerships).
- Support corporate governance matters, including resolutions, policies, and corporate housekeeping.
- Advise on Swiss employment law matters, including contracts, policies, health & safety, employee relations, and terminations.
- Support compliance with applicable Swiss labor, regulatory, and internal policies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to embed legal considerations into business decisions.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures.
- Prepare and deliver legal trainings to employees.
- Handle other legal matters related to SHL Medical’s new Swiss site in Zug.
- Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments relevant to the Swiss business.
- Handles routine matters independently and escalates complex issues as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a legal role (including law firm, advisory firm or in-house), with a focus on labor law, commercial contracts, corporate law and business operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in production/manufacturing environments in addition.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic mindset.
- Master’s degree in law (MLaw). Admission to the bar in a jurisdiction in Switzerland is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English and German is required.

- Ability to work independently and operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment and to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner independently or to collaborate with others.
