Talent Acquisition Team Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Talent Acquisition Team Lead to lead and support a small, dedicated recruitment team. This role will oversee day-to-day operations, guide the team in implementing effective recruitment strategies, and ensure the timely and efficient hiring of top talent across various departments. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience in recruitment processes, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure the team meets its recruitment goals.
  • Recruitment Strategy Building: Co-work with the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager in developing and executing recruitment strategies to meet organizational hiring needs, while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Sourcing & Screening: Oversee and support the team in sourcing candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals) and ensuring effective resume screening and initial interviews.
  • Team Performance Management: Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, track progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of targets.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure that candidates experience a smooth, professional, and positive recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Monitor recruitment metrics and data, prepare reports for the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure the team supports the interview and selection process effectively.
  • Employer Branding: Support the development and promotion of the company's employer brand through career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment channels.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Skills:
    • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing small teams or projects.
    • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, sourcing techniques, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR tools.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
    • Ability to motivate and support a team to achieve recruitment goals.
    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on recruitment tasks.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • A collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
    • High level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in recruitment is a plus.
