Job Overview
The Senior Account Manager for the APAC region serves as the primary point of contact for customers within the region and as an
integral part of the global sales organization. This role is responsible for managing the entire sales process, overseeing commercial
interactions with assigned customers, and ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and follow up on business leads within the APAC region, generating opportunities and collaborating closely with the Business Development Asia team to support the execution of Development Agreements.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact at the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) level for assigned customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and proactive customer support.
- Oversee sales-related activities for assigned customers, collaborating with the global account management team to execute Supply Agreements effectively.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, working closely with the Business Development team to generate leads and explore new business opportunities.
- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant market segments and product areas, including drug delivery devices.
- Represent the organization at key industry events, engage with potential clients, explain the benefits of our products, address technical queries, and offer guidance where necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years in a Sales or Commercial role with strong experience in business development or account management, particularly in business-to-business sales involving complex or regulated products with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medtech, primary packaging, secondary packaging, and/or drug delivery device industries.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients. Must be proactive, responsive, and maintain regular client contact.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to engage with, influence, and manage stakeholder groups from diverse cultural backgrounds, at various seniority levels, both internally and externally.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to initiate, scope, set up, and drive opportunities along the sales process while maintaining demanding timelines and prioritizing effectively.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform customer challenges into impactful solutions and communicate them clearly.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management systems, such as Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken is essential for effective communication in this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (technical, business, medical, etc.) is required; Master’s degree or further education are considered a plus.
