Position Overview:
The Senior FP&A Analyst will support both STEC and Advantec by providing financial partnership and analytical support across operations and management activities. Acting as a Finance Business Partner, the role will be closely involved in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives to ensure long-term business success.
In the initial phase, the role will primarily focus on STEC, supporting daily manufacturing operations and financial controlling activities. This includes in-depth analysis of P&L performance, product margins, net working capital, and free cash flow, as well as providing meaningful financial narratives and actionable insights to help management understand operational performance and drive informed decision-making.
As the role and organizational needs evolve, the time allocation will gradually shift, with the long-term objective being an approximately 50% / 50% to be achieved after 6 to 9 months split between STEC and Advantec.
On the Advantec side, the Senior FP&A Analyst will increasingly support management-related activities, including project management, project cost control, and financial performance tracking, ensuring transparency, cost discipline, and alignment with business objectives.
Across both organizations, the role will contribute to annual budget planning and rolling forecasts, providing timely financial updates to support management decisions. In addition, the Senior FP&A Analyst will drive continuous improvement initiatives within STEC financial controlling, working closely with Cost Center owners to enhance financial governance, cost transparency, and overall controlling effectiveness.
Responsibilities
STEC:
- Work closely with STEC cost center owners and cross-functional teams to support daily manufacturing operations and ensure effective financial controlling.
- Actively participate in rolling forecasts and annual budget planning, providing timely and accurate financial inputs.
- Analyze monthly financial performance based on key business drivers, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Provide detailed and insightful financial analysis on revenue and gross margin by customer and product, operating expenses (OpEx), and operating income to support management in risk management, opportunity identification, business reviews, and decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze manufacturing cost variances, including actual production cost versus standard or budgeted cost, and explain key deviations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability while addressing slow-moving and obsolete items in collaboration with Project Managers (PM) and relevant stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of management presentations related to actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with other finance team members and relevant departments during the month-end closing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform other ad-hoc financial analysis and support tasks as required.
Advantec:
- Support Advantec management activities by providing financial analysis and insights for ongoing and new initiatives either for Taiwan based and US/EU based entities.
- Actively participate in project financial management, including project budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
- Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project costs are properly controlled and aligned with approved budgets and business objectives.
- Prepare and analyze project financial reports, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Support rolling forecasts and budget planning related to Advantec projects and management activities

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent. MBA preferred.
- Solid finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to cost controlling, product costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
- International collaboration experience preferred.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in both English and Chinese, with strong oral and written communication skills.
Working Experience:
- 3~5+ years of FP&A or cost controlling experience.
- International collaboration experience preferred.
