FI-Senior Finance Analyst

【Job Overview】

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for developing accurate and detailed product cost reports supporting all SHL manufacturing sites. The Senior Analyst is part of the Global Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role plays a critical part in enhancing product costing and manufacturing performance insights that help drive decisions for manufacturing costing, budgeting, and resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation within a manufacturing environment well as excellent analytical skills, able to work independently and high attention to detail.

 

【Main Responsibilities】

• Master Data:

- Work with Operations to manage BOM Scrap % and Routing Cycle time accuracy.

- Expense type definition in local reporting. - Update Cost Center and request sequentially maintain Cost Center Group definition and with HR Dept. ID and Work Center relationship.

- Maintain info record for intercompany SOPO transaction and sample Material price quotation.

- Run New product STD cost calculation.

• Month End Closing

- Review Expense to understand variance and assure proper expense accrual.

- Review production work order variance (labor & material consumption) periodically.

- Involve SAP closing flow, check production work order settlement rule, prepare support in/out booking and update allocation assessment cycle. The end goal could be able to exercise the closing independently.

• Reporting:

- Prepare monthly inventory movement and ending inventory report.

- Prepare and support LCM report, Inventory Provision report.

- Support COGS Variance reporting and Analysis and improvement opportunity to Variance cost control.

• Involve budget Planning till final cost calculation and issuance of new standard cost. Job covers BOM/Routing master data and activity rate update to SAP.

• Support ad hoc request from operation stake holders.

• Support intercompany transations (Advantec). 

• Support TW, US and Swiss manufacturing site to standardize and automate reporting needs for Manufacturing and Factory performance

• Drive the automation of monthly reports in PowerBI to measure by product and by client:

- Standard costs, production order and other variances

- Over and underabsorption by cost center and department

- Scrap, rework and cost of poor quality

- Inventory of raw material, semifinished products and finished goods by site

 

【Required Skills & Qualifications】

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 5+ overall years of a progressive cost accounting/finance experience, preferably in a multinational or fast-paced environment. Experience working at a Big Four firm will be a plus.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, with experience driving process improvements in complex environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and global teams, including the ability to explain accounting topics to non-finance partners.

• Proficient in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Power BI skills; fluent in English both written and spoken is a must

Skills:

• Cost accounting and control.

• Strong know-how of SAP S4, SAP PS, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW or other BI systems.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and preferably with other data analysis tools such as Power BI, or SQL for complex data modeling and reporting.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders.

• Solid analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

• Positive and “can-do” working attitude.

• Strong team player with strong communication and presentation skills.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment.

• Responsible, resilient, and stress-resistant.
