Job Overview
The CAE Engineer contributes to early-stage product development by applying simulation methods to support robust and reliable design solutions.
The role also supports investigation and root cause analysis activities, contributing to design improvements and optimisation. Through simulation, the CAE Engineer evaluates the impact of design and manufacturing variables on product performance and failure modes.
Main Responsibilities
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives through the application of FEA simulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain simulation models and related engineering tools
- Contribute to the development, validation, and continuous enhancement of simulation methodologies
- Prepare and maintain clear documentation of simulation processes, guidelines, and training materials
- Initiate and actively contribute to cross-functional projects and technical discussions
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across functions to ensure alignment and high-quality outcomes
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across teams and international sites
- Support the planning, prioritisation, and execution of simulation activities

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Experience working with FEA pre- and post-processing tools
- Solid knowledge of static and dynamic structural analysis, using hand calculations and/or finite element methods
- Experience setting up and running simulations using FEA solvers
- Strong theoretical understanding of solid mechanics, mechanics of materials, and dynamics
- Experience in modelling polymeric and/or metallic materials; exposure to material strength assessment (e.g. yield, fracture, fatigue)
- Collaborative and open mindset, with the ability to work effectively across geographically distributed and diverse teams, and a demonstrated willingness to continuously learn
- Initial experience in engineering projects or a strong interest in developing project experience
- Professional proficiency in English
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in injection moulding and/or high-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience with HyperMesh
- Experience with LS-DYNA
