Resin Supply Technician
Job Location:  North Charleston

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM EST

Job Overview

The resin supply technician is responsible for the management and administration of the central resin supply system.

These responsibilities include to manage, monitor and record drying temperatures and time, loading resins and general housekeeping of the Resin supply system.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the centralized resin supply system to achieve production goals.
  •  Receive incoming material from the Warehouse team and manage the materials in the resin storage.
  • Feed resin into day bins from 50-pound bags or 1 Ton octabin’s.
  • Ensure at all times the use of correct parameters for the resin drying.
  • Maintain controlled areas and environmental monitoring in the assigned areas.
  • Lead and actively participate in production event response.
  • Work with the quality team for resin inspections.
  • Assist during equipment maintenance.
  • Carry out daily and weekly preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure all event response and production operations activities are correctly documented in SAP
  • Partner with Process Owners on practical changes or improvements to equipment & department work practices.
  • Support vacuum forming material reloading.
  • Lead review and author SOP’s and other documents, as required.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Basic computer literacy
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience in Manufacturing and/or Automation
  • 2+ years relevant work experience, such as: Warehousing, injection molding 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in operating centralized resin supply systems.
  • Experience with a Manufacturing execution system or similar computerized systems.
  • Previous exposure to a highly regulated industry (e.g. medical, pharmaceutical) and knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. ISO13485, cGMP)

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility using various body positions.
  • Routinely operates and inspects manufacturing equipment using hands.
  • Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Corrected vision to 20/30
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment; ability to work atop elevated positions.
  • Occasionally works around odorous and/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves.
  • Occasionally positions self within confined spaces for inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.
  • (Ability to attain clean room gowning certification and work with hazardous materials, including sanitants)
  • Frequent bending, stooping and prolonged working overhead.
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation.
