Job Overview
As Head of Testing, you will have full responsibility for the testing function, including people, processes, laboratories, and long-term capability development. You will work closely with Product Development, Quality, Innovation, Projects, and other global stakeholders, ensuring that testing activities support both current needs and future growth. You will lead a skilled team of engineers and specialists, creating a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Testing organization, covering resource planning, competence development, and performance management.
- Define and drive the testing strategy to support product development, customer projects, and lifecycle activities.
- Ensure testing activities comply with ISO 13485, internal quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Own laboratory operations, including capacity planning, equipment lifecycle management, and test method robustness.
- Act as a key stakeholder in audits, deviations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive efficiency improvements, digitalization and introduction of new test capabilities.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally and across sites to harmonize test methods and support knowledge sharing and test transfer.
- Provide clear reporting, KPIs, and decision support to management.
Minimum Requirements
- Several years of experience in testing, verification/validation, or laboratory management within a regulated industry (medical devices preferred).
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for people, processes, and priorities.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, validation principles, and regulated product development.
- Experience working in cross functional and international environments.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Fluency in English.
